Deep Groove Ball Bearings provide a simple and versatile solution to many application requirements. These non-separable bearings can handle radial, axial or combined loading provided the axial component of the load is not excessive.

These bearings can be configured for maximum radial capacity with the addition of a loading slot to allow for a greater number of balls. This configuration, however will limit the bearing’s axial capacity and speed rating. If high precision is demanded, Messinger Bearings can produce many Deep Groove Ball Bearings to an ABEC 5 precision class.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings are designed with offset raceways between the inner and outer rings which creates a specific contact angle under load. Due to this configuration, these bearings are well suited to carry combined axial and radial loading.  In a single-row these bearings can carry axial loading in only one direction and are frequently manufactured in double row,  sold in pairs, or adjusted against another bearing.

The offset raceways in angular contact bearings have one shoulder removed to allow for a greater complement of balls than standard deep groove ball bearings. These bearings are good choices for high speed applications and Messinger can manufacture them to an ABEC 5 precision class.

The four-point-contact ball bearing is a single row angular contact bearings designed to handle two-directional axial loading. These bearings require a minimum amount of space and can be custom designed to meet our customer’s unique loading parameters. And the four-point-contact ball bearings can carry either pure axial loading or combined loading provided the axial component is more significant.

For heavy industrial requirements, this style of bearing can be designed as a large slewing ring bearing with bolted down races and internal or external integral gearing.

The crossed roller bearing was originally designed, patented, and manufactured by Messinger Bearings.

The crossed roller bearing, aka “cross roller bearing” is designed to handle all combinations of radial, axial and overturning moment loads in a single, compact envelope.

This versatile solution can be supplied in standard cross sections or with bolt-down, offset races for extreme slewing applications.

This bearing is a good choice if a high degree of stiffness is required, however it requires rigid and precise mounting surfaces. Cross Roller Bearings can be supplied with internal or external integral gearing.

Messinger radial roller bearings, the work horses of rolling element bearings, provide maximum capacity in any given envelope. Their flexibility in design permits proper utilization of the available space for efficient accommodation of applied radial loads. This is the only bearing that makes available its full capacity for the support of applied radial loads without the introduction of parasitic thrust components.

Three Row Roller Bearings are constructed with three independent rows of rollers to handle a combination of axial, radial and overturning moment loads. The rollers are oriented for optimum load carrying capability.

Three Row Roller bearings are excellent solutions in applications where a high degree of stiffness is necessary, however they require rigid and precise mounting structures.

Messinger Bearings has analysis software that will optimize the configuration and sizing of the rollers to most meet the needs of the application and loading.

As with all of our slewing bearings, Three Row Roller Bearings can be supplied with internal or external integral gearing.

Tapered roller bearings are suitable for combined (axial and radial) loading applications. These bearings are designed to optimize rolling, as the extended lines of the raceways and the centerline of the rollers meet at a common point on the axis of the bearing.

As with Angular Contact Ball Bearings, any imposed radial load will produce an axial force which must be counteracted. For this reason single row tapered roller bearings are most often ordered in pairs or adjusted against a second bearing especially when under heavy loads.
