    Using Miba Fixed Geometry Bearings (or Sleeve Bearings) is an economical way to achieve good rotor dynamic performance. Miba bearings are characterized by their precise bore tolerances and are highly customizable so you can dial in the stiffness and damping coefficients to optimize your machine’s performance. Some of the many bore configurations possible are: cylindrical, offset half, lemon bore, 3-lobe, 4-lobe, or directed lobe and can be provided with fixed flat land, taper land, compound taper land, or tilting pad thrust options.

    PRODUCT DETAIL :

    Tilting pad journal bearings are designed for the most demanding turbomachinery applications, in terms of speed, load, and rotor dynamics. Due to the tilting capability of the individual pads, this 4- or 5-pad tilting pad journal bearing design does not tend to produce self-excited rotor vibrations and is suitable for high sliding speeds (e.g. 100 m/s and above). With an appropriate oil supply, bearing loads of > 3 MPa are achievable for continuous operation.

    The combination bearings (thrust and journal bearing in one housing) are designed for the most demanding turbomachinery applications, in terms of speed, load and rotor dynamics. The combined bearing saves space and due to the tilting capability of the individual pads in both radial and axial direction, it is suitable for sliding speeds up to 100 m/s (engli units) and above. With appropriate oil supply, bearing loads of > 3 MPa (engli units) are achievable for continuous operation.

To guarantee their reliability, the technology is based on structural studies and analyses. The bearing housing is manufactured with GGG40 nodular cast iron, which provides high mechanical resistance, excellent heat dissipation capacity, high structural stiffness, and low vibration levels. Further on, it can withstand very cold ambient temperatures.
